With an enthusiastic and infectious love for movement, Summer has found herself with over a decade of experience and joy calling traditional dances for Scottish ceilidhs.

2021 to present
Summer is the current Festival Director for BCMFest - since 2021. Her history of event organizing, networking and love for Celtic music led her to this roll through Club Passim.
BCMFest 2024 will take place January 11-14.

2023 to present
As of spring 2023, Summer has entered into the world of band management & booking work. The current artists she is working with is the Castilian/Scottish Folk duo, San Miguel Fraser - for their 12-day west coast September '23 US album release tour.

2020 to present
Ministry of Folk started in April 2020 to create an online environment that could provide teaching and performance opportunities admist the Covid-19 pandemic. They now look to the future to see where their platform can take them. Summer contributes her event organizing skills, creative insights on the Folk music industry, and ideas for future programming.

Club Passim

Sept 2020 to July 2023
Summer started working for Club Passim in September 2020 after a year of living in Boston. Her drive for community outreach and event planning within the folk music scene led her to the position of the Marketing and Membership Manager and co-facilitated in the creation of Passim's DEIB initiative known as The Folk Collective. These positions with Passim concluded in July 2023, in order to further her direct line of interest in the Celtic music community.
She now continues her work with Passim as an independent contractor as the Festival Director for BCMFest.
